What does each group of Nerve Savior ingredients do?

The 11 ingredients fall into five groups. Only the B vitamins have a direct link to nerves.

Blend math

How much of each Nerve Savior ingredient is in a serving?

The label gives no single amounts. The order of the list still sets a ceiling.

Proprietary Blend: 600 mg, 11 ingredients, no single amountsBars show the most each ingredient could weigh, from its place in the list.
  1. 1Himalayan Pink Salt55 to 600 mg
  2. 2Cinnamon Extract0 to 300 mg
  3. 3AGP Choline (alpha-GPC)0 to 200 mg
  4. 4Bacopa Monnieri (20%)0 to 150 mg
  5. 5Lutein (5%)0 to 120 mg5% lutein: at most about 6 mg of lutein
  6. 6Bilberry Leaf Powder0 to 100 mg
  7. 7Vitamin B6 (as Pyridoxine)0 to 86 mgCould be far above the 1.3-1.7 mg RDA; the label does not say
  8. 8Gingko Biloba Powder0 to 75 mg
  9. 9Vitamin B12 (as Cyanocobalamin 1%)0 to 67 mg1% B12: at most about 667 mcg of B12
  10. 10Zeaxanthin (5%)0 to 60 mg5% zeaxanthin: at most 3 mg
  11. 11Green Tea Extract (50%)0 to 55 mg

Ingredients in a blend are listed from heaviest to lightest (FDA, Dietary Supplement Labeling Guide), so the ingredient in place k can weigh at most 600 ÷ k mg. That is our math from the label, not a lab test. The real amounts are probably much lower, but the label does not say.

Pink salt comes first, so it must outweigh each of the 10 below it. Every line of the label is decoded on the Supplement Facts page.

For nerves

Which Nerve Savior ingredients matter most for nerves?

Vitamins B12 and B6 matter most, for opposite reasons. A low B12 level can cause numbness and tingling, while too much B6 over time can cause nerve damage (NINDS, Peripheral Neuropathy).

Two vitamins, no numbers

FDA's labeling guide says vitamins should be listed on their own with their weights (FDA, Dietary Supplement Labeling Guide). Nerve Savior puts both inside the blend instead. That appears inconsistent with FDA guidance, and it means you cannot count either one.

What are the inactive ingredients in Nerve Savior?

Rice flour, magnesium stearate and silica (printed "Silica Dioxide") fill each capsule and help the powder flow.

FAQ

Nerve Savior ingredients FAQ

What are the ingredients in Nerve Savior?

Nerve Savior lists Himalayan pink salt, cinnamon extract, AGP choline, bacopa, lutein, bilberry leaf, vitamin B6, ginkgo, vitamin B12, zeaxanthin and green tea extract in one 600 mg blend, plus rice flour, magnesium stearate and silica. No single amounts appear.

Which Nerve Savior ingredient is the largest?

Himalayan pink salt is the largest, because blend ingredients are listed heaviest first. It makes up at least about 55 mg of the 600 mg blend. Its trace minerals add little: you would need more than 30 grams of pink salt a day for them to count.

Does Nerve Savior contain alpha-lipoic acid?

No. Alpha-lipoic acid is not on the Nerve Savior label, and neither are benfotiamine, acetyl-L-carnitine or vitamin B1. Alpha-lipoic acid has the most nerve trials of any supplement, yet pills gave only minimal benefit.

Does the Nerve Savior label confirm a vegan capsule?

The label does not say. A brand graphic shows a vegan badge, but the Supplement Facts panel does not name the capsule shell material. If you avoid animal products, ask the seller through eBay before you order.

Does Nerve Savior have caffeine?

Probably a little. Green tea extract is the last ingredient, and green tea contains caffeine. The label does not say how much. As the smallest share, the whole extract weighs at most about 55 mg per serving.

Why are eye ingredients in a nerve supplement?

The brand does not say. Lutein and zeaxanthin were used in the AREDS2 formula for intermediate macular degeneration, an eye disease. None of the three eye ingredients was studied for nerve symptoms in the sources we reviewed.
